The Toxic Avenger
From the Toxic Waste Capital of America, the Toxic Avenger cocktail actually glows! Developed for Tomafest 2025 at Pine Box Rock Shop.
To get this cocktail to glow, you are going to need to get neon sanding sugar and a black light bulb. We recommend presenting the drink under a desk or table lamp fitted with a black light bulb for an extra dramatic effect. You can get neon sanding sugar online or at most baking supply stores.
Rim a highball with a lime wedge and dip into a shallow dish of neon standing sugar. Separately in a cocktail shaker, add a shot of your favorite silver rum, an ounce of melon liqueur, a squeeze of fresh lime, and top up with sour mix. Shake lightly to mix and strain over fresh ice in the sugar-rimmed glass.
Garnish with a speared lychee fruit dusted with neon standing sugar.
